Basic baseball rules and scoring will be implemented.

Teams can have as many players as they see fit, but during game-play, all players must be in the batting line-up.

 

Everyone hits in the batting order.

Runner must use the runner’s bag at all times.

 

Runner cannot run through second or third.

 

Runner can run through 1st base.

 

All players get same treatment, i.e. no “girl rule”.

 

When a player is walked, it is a single.

 

Six balls = a walk.

 

Pitchers can pitch however they want, however it is still a pitch to hit league.

 

Predetermined home and away schedule.

 

Ro sham bo for disputes.

 

No sliding into first.

 

No stealing bases.

 

No leading off.

 

If you pass the foul line running from 3rd base, you are committed to home.

 

Backstop (chair) acts as catcher.

 

7 inning games.

 

4 innings max per pitcher, per game.

 

Neck down is legal for tagging

 

If a player is tagged from the neck up, they are safe.

 

No bunting.

 

All foul balls are playable if caught in the air.

 

Natural obstruction rules will differ between each field, individual fields will have unique rules for boundaries.

 

Co-ed teams are strongly encouraged, but there is no penalty for all male or all female teams.
